Riding Holidays in Europe

Horse riding holidays in Europe are growing in popularity for reasons of convenience, price and, of course, enjoyment! Europe offers a variety of terrain from the flower-laden Kupres Plateau in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the rocky Mijas Mountains of Southern Spain. European horses, particularly those from Spain and Portugal, are world famous for their athleticism as well as their beauty, and the continent offers some of the worldÕs best tuition as well as fast and exhilarating trail rides. Galloping across green fields in Croatia on a spirited horse is an experience hard to beat but there are also plenty of options for all levels of rider. Europe offers quick weekend breaks (weekend break link) as well as affordable adventures and for a minimal sum you can explore beautiful countryside in a way that suits your desires and riding ability.

Relaxed western riding through Italy is ideal for the easygoing holidaymaker, as is cantering through the poppies of Mallorca on a well schooled Andalusian. Riders can experience top class dressage tuition from Nuno Baptista in Portugal or showjumping lessons in Turkey... not to mention the world-famous cross country opportunities available in Ireland! Europe also has some of best beach riding opportunities in the world and, unlike some other places, there is no set season - there are holidays on offer all the year round.

There are several destinations offering based riding holidays on a flexible basis and many welcome complete beginners to start their riding education. No matter what level of rider you are or how far your budget extends, there will be a horse riding holiday in Europe to suit your needs. Budget holidays as well as luxurious high-end getaways are all available here and easy to get to.
