The ranch is situated in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of British Columbia between Banff and the Glacier National Park. Here you will be surrounded by an abundance of nature, clean fast moving water, green fields and plenty of wildlife. This is very much a family run Ranch and the Beckley family live there all year around sharing their western cowboy lifestyle of wide, open spaces and good friends with guests from around the world. The family is directly involved in all day-to-day operations of the ranch; they are in the dining room at meal times and around the ranch all throughout the day.

In addition to all the daytime activities, evening events include ranch casino nights, campfire nights, volleyball games, reining horse demos, fire engine games. Guests may also like to head over to the ranch's saloon for a cold beer or a wine from British Columbia. The Ranch store carries a full range of western gear and it is also possible to hire cowboy boots.

The ranch specialises in making sure families will have a holiday of a lifetime. It offers a safe environment for youngsters and children of all ages will be kept busy all day long with over 6 year olds able to take part in special programmes. Programmes are devised so families can go on family rides, hike together and river raft as a group.

Horses & Riding

Tack

The horses are all ridden in western tack, which includes good quality leather saddles with wide seats for rider comfort and leather headstalls/bridles with shaffles or western shank bits.

Horses

The Ranch is home to over 120 head of horses, mostly American Quarter Horses, that live on the ranch year-round. The herd consists of approximately 80 guest horses as well as 20 performance horses, as well as broodmares and new foals each spring. The ranch's horse to guest ratio is over 2 to 1 allowing the ranch to select the right horse for each rider's individual ability and experience level. Each rider and guest will be matched with a horse that will be "theirs" for the duration of their stay.

Testimonials

Charlotte P., Aug. 14, 2023

It was brilliant, we really loved everything about our stay on the ranch. The accommodation was great and the food was of a really high standard and plenty of it. The meat was melt in your mouth and there were lots of healthy options too. Rosa and I were so happy with Tolo and Blitz, if we could’ve taken them home we would have, we got quite attached and it was actually hard to say goodbye! Blitz, my horse, had such a lovely nature and was so responsive. Couldn’t have asked for better horses.
