Ride Description

The trail begins and ends at this lovely ranch which is situated in the south of Hungary, approximately 80km from Budapest. For many years El Bronco have offered western riding tuition and based star rides but now they are offering an adventurous new trail. The ranch is situated in Kiskunsagi National Park where the sandy ground is ideal for long lopes and relaxing trail rides and from here your trail begins!

This is a new and fantastic opportunity for advanced and confident riders with a long trail ride around the east side of the Kiskunsági National Park riding Western on Quarter Horses. This is a six night trail and will take you around the whole of the National Park, riding mostly on sand. The Kiskunság National Park is a UNESCO biosphere reserve, which comprises of seven units scattered throughout the area. Created in 1975, the park stretches across the Great Hungarian Plain and is a mosaic of plains, lakes and marshes dotted between the Danube and Tisza Rivers. Within Kiskunság National Park, there is a rich diversity of birdlife, which includes great bustard, red-footed falcon, European bee-eater, golden oriole, European roller as well as numerous herons, egrets, wildfowl and passerines. So there is much to see on this trail.

National Park Trail

This is a new and fantastic opportunity for advanced and confident riders to enjoy a long trail ride around the east side of the famous Kiskunsági National Park. This six night trail will take you along the wonderful sandy tracks of the park which offer some of the most phenomenal riding terrain.

Riders on the trail will be expected to groom, feed, tack up and generally look after the welfare of their horse during this ride. A good fundamental knowledge of horse-care is therefore required, but you do not necessarily have to have prior expereince with western saddles and equipment. You will be shown how to tack up your horse, Western style, on the Saturday you arrive. Each guest will be provided with a roomy saddle bags for your daily equipment, but your main luggage will be transferred for you and will be waiting at your next guesthouse.

There are limited opportunities for single rooms so riders should be prepared to share twin or dormitory style rooms with four beds.

There will usually be two guides on this trail, depending on the number of guests on the ride.
