Alghero Country Hotel, Sardinia

• Tailor Made Programme

Totally Enjoyable. Bianca was a perfect "hostess", suggested trips to interesting places and sent us to restaurant in Alghero - which we never would have found on our own - when we weren't enjoying 3 course dinners at the hotel. My husband (non-rider) and I loved our room - beautiful views, spacious, modern bathroom and a very private balcony. I had the same horse - she was exceptional. Loved her; did everything I asked, never shied. Tack was very good, I requested a different saddle after the first day and very happy with the new one. Cosimo was a delight. I was the only rider and he totally accommodated me and tailored the ride to my needs. (Favourite memory?) Coming upon a glen of fruit trees and picking "tree ripened" figs, plums, pomegranates and apples - I was sorry I had eaten a large breakfast and couldn't eat more!

This is a beautiful and peaceful setting which is just perfect for a quiet and intimate escape. The hotel is located just 10 minutes by car from the historic centre of Alghero. The riding is superb and the local area offers miles of off-road hacking with spectacular views out to the mediterranean ocean. I would highly recommend sampling some of Sardinia's delicious and typical seafood dishes!

A memorable Sardinian experience. Staying with the warm and welcoming Bradi family in their lovely country hotel whilst enjoying the delights of the Sardinia countryside on horseback. (Favourite memory?) My lovely horse and the sun warmed smells of the Mediterranean herbs and brush. Also the call of the cuckoo which we never hear in the UK now. I rode the same horse for all rides. A lovely Anglo-Arab - very fit and responsive. Good and calm in all situations.
